Laney and Bishop are kicking off 2025 with the release of their new instrumental single, "B Funky," set to drop on January 17, 2025, under the Sound Biscuit label. “B Funky” offers an improvisational journey through bluegrass roots, infused with a fresh twist. It highlights the duo's exceptional talent, the remarkable ensemble of musicians featured and their ability to push traditional boundaries while staying true to the genre.

Colby Laney, who composed "B Funky," describes it as “just a fun tune that really lets us stretch out and improvise in the key of B. Bluegrass players often think of B as the 'blues jam' or 'mash' key, but we wanted to take it in a completely different direction—something fresh and different but still rooted in the tradition of jamming. It's one of those tracks that just makes you smile and have a good time while playing or listening."The musicians featured on "B Funky" include Danielle Bishop on fiddle, Colby Laney on guitar and mandolin, Aaron Ramsey on mandolin, Jeff Partin on resophonic guitar, and Jacob Burleson on the electric bass.
